Hvilken rolle har HMO?
Amming har vært forbundet med redusert risiko for diaré og luftveisinfeksjoner hos spedbarn.1,2 HMO kan delvis være årsaken til den beskyttende effekten som morsmelk gir. Studier tyder på at HMO i morsmelk har en viktig rolle i å støtte barnets immunforsvar.3-6
